More Than Food

We offer help beyond a food. Find out more about additional services and support.

Our food bank is running a More Than Food programme. This means that we are providing additional support alongside emergency food, to help people address the underlying issues behind their crisis as well as providing opportunities to connect with others through groups and community meals.

Our food bank has lots of staff and volunteers that can help in times of need:

  • Citizen’s Advice Bureau partner with us and are available at most of our food bank sessions to offer advice and financial support
  • Our community support worker is available for extra help as needed
  • Our community breakfast runs every Thursday between 9.30-11.30am is a chance for anyone in the community to come for a free breakfast, chat and warm welcome
  • Lunch Lounge runs every Wednesday between 11.30am-1.30pm for free lunch and chat
  • We regularly run Fun Hub Club events to help with the burden of school holidays with free lunch and entertainment for children
  • We partner with other organisations that periodically come to our Thursday Community Breakfast, such as Domestic Abuse support, Technical support and pop up support from PA housing
  • We are a warm hub during the winter and can help with fuel costs, and supply aids to help at home such as heated blankets

For more information about any of these projects please contact us.
